 Catching a carp
In bass fishing, I've caught a lot of fish I could not bring to the scales. For a many years I had a reputation of catching more trash fish than bass during tournaments. Although it is a great fun to fight, it is somewhat disappointing to think you have a tournament winning bass on your line, only to see an overgrown goldfish appear in the water beside the boat. When I put the hook I immediately called for the net due to the bend in my rod. I was a worried at the beginning since the fish stayed at bottom rather than coming to the top, but I had caught big spotted bass on this hump, and that is how they fought. I just knew I had a five pound plus spot on my line. My friend netted the fish for me, but it was an eight pound carp. With the blue flash worm in its mouth it vanished. Another day , this time I was running a spinnerbait in very shallow water, buzzing it by stumps. After passing the first stump, it stopped and then started going sideways. The water was so shallow I saw orange immediately after the fish hit and lost my excitement. That five pound carp had the white spinnerbait in its mouth and it had tried to eat it. It was the only fish I caught that day!

 Re: Catching a carp
It happens we can do mistakes and at times its difficult to catch the fish you are looking for.
